5 Delicious Autumn Snacks

Autumn is here! Well almost, but here at OneChicMom it sure is. The candles are lit, and the boots and sweaters are out of storage. The weather is awful, so there’s nothing better than going home, putting on a good film, wrapped in a blanket with a hot chocolate, topped with marshmallows.

I go to Claire’s every weekend, and she is more than happy to make us whatever we like, so I make sure I arrive armed with some great ideas, and hey you are never too old to enjoy fun foods.

Here are the top five delicious autumn snacks that can make Slimming World friendly that will make you love Autumn as much as we do.

Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate is the perfect drink for the cold weather, at Claire’s we have the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser and it is AMAZING! My personal favourite is the salted caramel, and we usually pair it with some mini marshmallows and light whipped cream.

Homemade Flapjacks

Flapjacks are one of my favourite snacks to eat and to make! There are so many different types, and flavours you can have such as apple & cinnamon, rocky road, golden syrup, dried fruit and chocolate chip. The options are endless, but our personal favourite is dried fruit with a little drizzle of syrup on the top.

Autumn Stew

Time to get out the slow cooker. There’s nothing better than after a long day’s work, than having a hearty stew waiting for you to enjoy. Stew is a must-have Autumn food, whether its meat or vegetable based, just throw in your favourite ingredients an eight hiurs later when you get home, hey presto dinner is all ready for you to enjoy.

Caramel Apples

Caramel apples are like an Autumn tradition. At home, we like to have a caramel apple when we sit outside around the firepit snuggled in our blankets before we all head off to bed. The homemade ones are the best.

Cinnamon and Banana French Toast

Cinnamon French toast is a great breakfast meal for the cold weather Top with banana and berries. It doesn’t just look amazing it smells and tastes as good as it looks. For a more luxury version, we use brioche loaf bread to make it softer and sweeter and more delicious!
