Homemade Lemonade

by Claire Guest

You can’t beat a classic lemonade for a refreshing summer drink. With all this hot and summery weather, I am always looking for great ways to keep the family well hydrated.  This simple homemade lemonade recipe is easy to make and super refreshing. Make this recipe with just with just three ingredients. A great treat for all the family to enjoy. Why not get the kids to make this on a summer day, maybe one to try on your inset day. This drink is miles apart from your usual carbonated over the counter offerings, that are usually full of all kinds of nasties. It’s still quite high in sugar though so still have as a special treat.

Lemonade Ingredients

  • 3 Unwaxed lemons, roughly chopped
  • 140g caster sugar
  • 1 litre cold water

Method

1.Tip the lemons, sugar and half the water into a food processor or use a hand blender and blend until the lemon is finely chopped.

2. Pour the mixture into a sieve over a bowl, then press through as much juice as you can. Top up with the remaining water and serve with plain ice or frozen slices of lemon and lime. 3. One thing left to do is enjoy your Lemonade.
