Although you may think that October is too early to be thinking of Christmas now is the time to bag your Advent Calendar for the festive season.
From experience, if you don’t order early then you may find your first choice is already sold out. Several of the high street stores have already released their calendars and the only decision is which one to choose.
Advent Calendars for the beauty lovers
If beauty products are your dream purchase then you need to check out the Espa, Jo Malone or The White Company calendars. They offer a fantastic range of products in miniature form, perfect to try without having to pay the full product price. However if you feel these are a little outside the budget then there are some fabulous ones available at Origins, Benefit or Lush. Whatever your budget theirs a beauty calendar to meet your requirements.
Advent Calendars for the chocoholics
If you’re a Chocoholic then you may want to check out Hotel Chocolat, Thornton’s or Cadbury’s. I’m pretty certain that the children would be eyeing these up for sharing so you may want to keep them out of reach. One of the advent calendars that I love is the ones where you can use them year after year and add your own choice of treats. Fortnum and Mason have released the sweetest wooden Advent calendar in the form of a Townhouse. There are little doors for you to hide your treats behind and each door plays a cheery Christmas carol. This one defiantly has my heart this year.
Advent Calendars for the kids
There are also some perfect calendars for the kids. My boys particularly loved the Lego calendars when they were younger but would much prefer the Cadbury’s chocolate one or the Haribo one these days.
There is such an array of Calendars on offer, from candles to tea and many other choices. What I think is fantastic is that there’s also a Calendar to meet every budget so even the kids can bag themselves one with just a few pounds of their pocket money.
For me, Christmas is all about tradition and it wouldn’t be the same without a calendar. Whether that’s a traditional nativity scene or one bearing chocolate and treats. It is a lovely countdown to the big day and the kids will look forward to finding what’s hidden behind the little window.
This is one tradition that COVID 19 won’t be able to mess with. So why not get your hands on the Calendar of choice and count down to Christmas in style.
